Black Butte Ranch is a Resort, 36 hole golf course facility in Black Butte Ranch, Oregon. The facility has two 18 hole championship courses. They are, The Big Meadow Golf Course and The Glaze Meadow Golf Course. The resort lodge and courses are located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. These courses, which are about three miles apart, but are part of the same resort, were built on a chain of open meadows and are very hilly. The Big Meadow Course has flatter terrain and is longer and more open than the Glaze Meadow Course. In other words, the Glaze Meadow Course requires more placement shots. There are dogleg fairways to test your ability to work the ball in both directions.
Black Butte Ranch, The Glaze Meadow Golf Course opened for play in 1980. The course was designed by Gene "Bunny" Mason. The course was closed September 2010 for a 3.5 million dollar rennovation. The rennovation design was handled by John Fought. The front nine reopened Memorial Day weekend 2012 and the full 18 holes opened June 30, 2012.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,079 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,014 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 606 yards. The shortest hole at Black Butte Ranch, The Glaze Meadow Golf Course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 167 yards from the back tees.
